STUNNING SUNRISES AND SUNSETS
The transitional times of the day... sunrise and sunset... are my favorite times to be out. Actually, sunrise is my favorite time to be out. The few sunsets in this collection are incidental. 98% of these images are sunrises.
Whether I'm photographing a golf course or a landscape, I always focus a lot of my time on sunrise. One thing you'll notice as you scroll thru this collection is that in many cases there are multiple, similar images that obviously are of different times during the same sunrise. Sometimes, there is only a single good image to be captured at sunrise, while other times, the story demands an ongoing series of shots. The best examples are from East Lake Golf Club and The Golf Club of Georgia, but there are others. Those mornings when the majesty of the day's beginning unfurls so beautifully are the reason I do this work. It's that simple.
It's very difficult to explain with words the emotional nature of my love affair with this amazing time of day. The colors can obviously be stellar. But more than anything, I think it's the surprise of the moment that always keeps me getting up so early. I believe this collection is best way for me to explain my love for those moments between light and dark. Maybe these images will inspire you to wake up a bit earlier from time to time to see what God and nature have planned for your brand new day.
